Prevention of Blindness

Overview

The Prevention of Blindness Program serves residents of South Carolina with a visual impairment who cannot afford prescribed treatments.

Financial assistance is currently available for the following services:

• Cataract surgeries
• Retinal detachment surgeries

To be eligible for the Prevention of Blindness Program services you must:

• Meet financial requirements
• Not be covered by any health insurance program
