Various cities in South Carolina have distributed free face masks to those who need them. Check your local newspapers, television, and internet resources to see when various groups may be distributing face coverings.
Request a free face covering from DHVANI. You will have to provide your email address, name, mailing address, and answer two questions. Answers to the questions do not affect whether you receive a free mask.

The following providers are offering free virtual or telehealth services. These options are available to anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms in South Carolina. Use the promo code COVID19 with any of these providers.
Self Regional Healthcare is offering community testing, virtual visits, and telephone screening for residents in Greenwood, Laurens, Edgefield, Abbeville, McCormick, Saluda, and Newberry counties. Call the COVID-19 Screening Line at 864-725-4500.
COVID-19 mobile testing sites offer screenings in counties across the state. DHEC provides a list of these sites, where they are located and when they offer screenings. The mobile and popup testing sites listed on the DHEC website are free.
Sites that offer screening in partnership with Kroger Health will require individuals to schedule an appointment via Kroger Health’s online portal.

Discus - Tutor.com is available to provide South Carolina schools and public libraries with homework help now through September 20, 2020. The resource is also linked from the Discus A-Z List and By Grade Level pages at www.scdiscus.org. Users have access to drop-in live tutoring 7 days a week from 8:00 am - 10:00 pm. Features include Live Homework Help, WriteTutor Center, TestPrep Center and a Skills Center. A user account is required for some of the features. This resource subscription has been temporarily added due to the recent school closings related to the COVID-19 virus.
Aira - As many universities and colleges are rapidly shifting to distance learning, some materials and software being used are inaccessible. Aira Tech Corp is now offering free Aira for any college student for the remainder of the spring semester ending in May 2020. NFB-NEWSLINE - The National Federation of the Blind is providing up-to-date information to all eligible subscribers of the NFB-NEWSLINE service. The information can be fournd in the Breaking News Online category, and will also be available for those few states that are currently not sponsored for the next sixty days starting Monday, March 16th.
Access COVID-19 information using the telephone by pressing 5 from the main menu, then press 1 for the Breaking News Online category, followed by pressing the 1 key which will bring you to the COVID-19 information. If using the NFB-NEWSLINE Mobile IOS app, look for COVID-19 information under the "All Publications" section.
